The Elizabeth Van Moore Park, commonly referred to as Queen Anne Park, offers something for everyone. Located on historic downtown's waterfront, the park is a lovely place to picnic on a nice day. Children can stay entertained on the playground while parents browse through the boutique shops downtown. History enthusiasts love how it's cornered by the Penelope Barker House and the Roanoke River Lighthouse. Or just take a break from walking around the beautiful town and rest at a bench by the water for a moment. This park is dotted with large trees that provide a shady spot to relax in the summer sun, and a boardwalk wraps around it so that you can walk along the harbor's edge. The playground welcomes a regular stream of children rollicking on the slides and monkey-bars. It's a central spot in downtown Edenton that shouldn't be missed.
