A meat-eater's paradise, Old Colony Smokehouse is serious about smoked meats and barbecue. Owner Adam Hughes is an international award-winning pitmaster and a champion from the Food Network's CHOPPED! series, and he and his team of local chefs preach the gospel of traditional Southern culinary ingredients and methods. They smoke meats daily with locally sourced hardwoods right outside the restaurant, offering chopped pork barbecue, Texas-style beef brisket, pulled smoked chicken, smoked turkey breast, pork spare ribs and jalapeno cheddar sausage along with sides like Carolina sweet slaw, smokehouse beans, loaded potato salad, collard greens and more. They also serve specialty sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, salad and homemade desserts, and their pimento cheese and smoked chicken salad are stellar. Dine in and take out are available, and if you're feeding a crowd you can pick up large trays with a combination of offerings.
