Edenton's Colonial Park offers a place to picnic, paddle and play on the waterfront. Located alongside Edenton Bay, the park offers a boardwalk, playground, green space, picnic tables, benches and restrooms. There's a small boat launch here, and the onsite dockmaster offers rentals of kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards. The park is a popular place for watching the water, is the site of many local events and is the departure point for a boat tour.
The Town of Edenton marina includes boat docks with 10 transient slips. Slips for transient boats are available for seven nights; the first two nights are free but there's a charge for power and pump out. Restrooms and showers are available for visiting boaters, and a car service is available for a fee if needed. A dockmaster is on site. The dockmaster also rents kayaks and canoes, which can be launched at Colonial Park. The dockmaster sells ice and water in the boat house.
