Located in Edenton, North Carolina, The Peanut Factory is a vibrant artist residency and community arts organization housed in a historic 1932 peanut processing mill. Through its unique blend of creative programming, rural conservation, and community engagement, The Peanut Factory serves as a cultural hub for the Albemarle region.

The Peanut Factory offers artist residencies, community workshops, public events, and arts education initiatives, welcoming creators to explore, experiment, and collaborate. With ongoing offerings like mixed-media workshops, watercolor classes, and children’s art series, the organization promotes artistic growth across all ages and levels.

In addition to studio and gallery activities, The Peanut Factory manages Spurill Conservation Farm, a 110‑acre property featuring trails, campsites, and the only Certified Naturally Grown fig orchard in the United States. Through this land stewardship component, the organization links art, ecology, and place-based learning.
